The CSA have driven me to my wit’s end

April 12, 2014

I have been seperated from the father of my children for 9 years, at the very beginning I used to receive money regulary through the CSA but then it stopped and over the last 7/8 years I have had nothing from them.

For at least the past 4 years the CSA have been moving my case from department to department and within the last 2 years I have recevied 1 payment of £5 as my ex signed on for a week.

The case has been through the baliffs and even they have given up.

The trouble seems to be that my ex refuses to talk to them and they cannot trace him and when is is employeed it’s through self employment. The last conversation I had with the CSA was at the beginning of this year and at that point I gave up.

Then this morning I get a call from them saying, would you like us to keep your case open and chase monies owed, what a stupid question… Obviously yes.

I’ve raised a complaint with them which again went nowhere. Presently they are calculating he owes me something like £2,500 which isn’t anywhere near accuarte at this is based on something silly like £5 a week, when I know he is self employed and earning but apparently they can do nothing about it.

So yes please if you have any advice I would be happy to give it a go as I am at my wits end with it.

Why not get a job and support yourself instead of expecting a free ride, you don’t mention about the father having access to the child? Must be about the money as usual, scroungers are coming out of the woodwork now the Csa is closing!

Neither of you know me so how can you be so rude! I’ve never not worked a day in my life or have ever tried to stop my daughters father visiting them… I was on this site purely asking for help, so if you can’t help or give any advice then don’t bother posting anymore! Your clearly not very nice people.

Yes. I never stopped him, although very recently, they have both decided that they no longer wish for him to be in their life.

@tracy Welfare should not be a way of life this is the governents words so having a job is more important than chasing money from other sources if the blokme does not want to pay he’s an arse but no matter what you say “welfare should not be a way of life” even single mothers.
