I always record my calls with the Child Support Agency

I have recently had some issues with this organisation. My daughters case ended in May 2012 and it was not until i nudged them in september 2012 that they discovered i should have ceased payment.

I am still paying NOW and still they cannot get it right. this now brings them to owe me money but as i am still to pay for my son who is 17 i was made to beleive any overpayment will not be given as a refund, But a re-assesment will be done which gives my son less?? how is this in his interest.

I accepted this from them…UNTIL a delay in payment schedules arrangments increased my overpayment hence further complications. I contacted hastings to resolve and further delays meant more overpayments. I have stuck to the payments schedule in fear of further issues and more overpayments have been made. I have contacted hastings again and they have contradicted there position and have now said my new schedule does not refund overpayments. My former partner is not getting what im paying and now blames my company for sending this in late.which is rubbish..its them and their civil servant, dont give a damn staff. they are clueless. this CSA has made mistakes with my case from day one. I was a teenager as was my partner at the time of my daughters birth(kids) ourselves. we split when my daughter was seven and my son was 5.

I lived at my parents as did she. but they treated me as a absent father. i have payed CSA since my Daughter was 1 day old.. they dont listen,dont care and just pile on the debt. I have recently just finished paying a debt to the secratary of state for all the benefits she received including all housing benefit which amounted to 10s of thousand of pounds. dont forget we hadnt split up..we were a couple. I will sort the ongoing problems and i can deal with them. i only have 12 months left and there out my life. I support my daughter further in uni and my son for that matter. i also have two little boys from a new relationship they are only 3/5 we live on what the csa say is LAW. my beef with this lot is they are not there for the kids or the parent with care..its about the money..Imagine the profits they makes on interest they make by holding money in there accounts..

The staff are rude and i have had many complaints resolved by their managers, I do not advise you use anyone who charges to deal with these people on your behalf as this is a waste of money. ring em..log the names and build a diary of contact…even record the calls..

MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM YOU ARE RECORDING THE CALL..THEY DO and if you are a non resident parent then PAY YOUR MONEY FOR YOUR KIDS AND RESIDENT PARENT DONT TAKE WHAT THE CSA SAY AS FACT!!! Good luck

    seems I am not alone then in my thoughts and believes about these arseholes,I will remind you each time I read another misery story about these idiots who hold back payments where others also believe that make interest on this money.I am not alone in thinking this agency only cares about money it gets from nrp’s and dont give a damm about the kids.

    Most of us don’t have a recording equipment.
    This is why it is most important to deal with the CSA by post. preferably by recorded delivery.
    File all letters received and copies of letters sent in date order.
    These can easily be copied for complaints, court cases etc.

    I have three draws full of letters from the CSA, ICE and my M.P.

    I get everything in writing as evidence. It’s amazing how you can run circles around them , when you quote back from one of their replies.

    They have’nt got a clue what they are doing, and all of us involved with this ‘shambles’, should be demanding it’s closure, and matters returned to the courts with professional people dealing with cases.
