How is she ‘the parent in charge’?

May 24, 2015

I have my children for exactly 50 percent of the time but my ex-wife still is able to claim via the CSA for child maintenance and I have to pay £177 a month. I earn £42K/year but she earns well over £100K/year.

The CSA have stated she can claim from me because she is ‘the parent in charge’ as she gets child benefit – apparently thats the deciding factor!

Has anyone been in a similar position and how can I stop this madness? Any advice will be welcome.

Welcome to the CSA asylum mate, it’s a bit like Alice in Wonderland but with the nice bits taken out, be aware that you are now dealing with scum, vampires that are out to take you for every penny they can get, be aware that lying come natural to them, never believe a word they say, deal with them only by letter and keep a paper trail.

And above all, Good Luck…you’re gonna need it.
