When you deal with the CSA you should be putting everything in writing and keeping a copy off this yourself.

Send this by fax and then ring them up to confirm that they have received your letter. If you send this by post i would recommend that you send this by recorded delivery and keep all you proofs really safe. This way they cant say that they havent received it.

First of all you have to tell them that you are leaving the country and working in a non EU country. Which is USA. If you work in the states you are not eligible to pay child support as you are not working for a UK company.

Put this is writing if not they will continue to charge you maintance the whole time you are out of the country and when you ever do return you will be hit with such a big bill. There excuse will be you did not inform them as this is law. Dont be fooled by them. They are only out for the PWCs i know trust me i used to be one of them and now i am with the non resident parent.

They have to reply to you in writing within 15 days. Please make sure that a member of your family informs you that you have received a reponse from them this is crucial. And keep this reponse.

    Good Luck
