    Very briefy,
my case goes back to 1995 and i never paid untill i had no choice. I owed £20,000.
Due to the length of time owed, around £5000 of this i was told by them was unenforcable, i have paid the rest.
Today i received a phone call threatening me with a DEO. They told me they could do this because it does not involve court action, surely this is just scare tactics because if they did and i took them to court the debt would be deemed unenforacble.
I dont know, but can any of you guys tell me for sure,
    thanks

From my personal (really bad) expeirence from dealings with the CSA and still on going issues. I can say that yes they will go in for a Deductions Of Earnings Order.

I had to do it for my ex partner as i gave CSA all his job details, even his Managers name. (This is after tracking him to a job aftre 8 yrs). He then ignored all letters and never returned any phone calls so they went for a DOE and they took 70% of his wages. This is the max they can take. Once the DOE is in place it is really hard to take it off.
