Hi, I reckon I've found this site too late as my court case is due next week.
They want to take my driving license or put me in prison, strangely they don't want my passport, probably because they know I can't afford a holiday abroad.
The liability order was for £15.500 but they have refused my offer to continue paying at the present rate of £32 a week after my kids stop being eligible [which is soon, eldest is already overage]]. they also keep referring to the full arrears of £26,000 when denying my offers.
my problems started after becoming unemployed shortly after my first assessment back in 1996. I 'phoned them and they said ok, tell us when you start work again. I told them I had returned to work a few weeks later and that's the last I heard of or from them for EIGHT years! Then in 2004 the sent a letter saying they were working out my new assessment, then a year or so later a bill for 26 grand turns up.
I admit I buried my head in the sand because I can't even dream of raising that sort of money. By now I had three more boys with my new partner and all this time I have been seeing my other boys two days a week and buying all their clothes and school shoes taking them on all our [camping in a tent!] holidays etc.
All this while my ex holidays in turkey and sits on her fat arse on the dole.
I'm seeing a solicitor tomorrow but any other advice would be very welcome.
    Thanks.

Pile... I may have been at the same hearing as you. The CSA were seeking a L/O for £2000 from me. The CSA reprepresentative at the hearing told me that there was no point in seeing the magistrates and that I could pay the L/O within 2 years which I am doing @ £100 per month. How did your "Hearing" go?
