I am in a strange situation at work. 6 months ago, with a DEO in place, I substantially increased my pension contributions, the net effect was that my net pay was equal to my protected earnings and the CSA were not able to deduct any money from my wages.
The CSA, however, are still trying to recover the monthly assessment directly from me, I am not paying as I am only left with the protected earnings each month. Of Course, now, arrears are now accruing, I've already received a liability Order and the next thing is Bailiffs etc etc.
Does anyone know if I'm legally obliged to pay my assessment out of my so called protected earnings figure or not??
