WHEN MUHAMMAD ALI THREW HIS GOLD MEDAL INTO THE WATERS OF THE OHIO RIVER IN 1975 IT WAS HIS STATEMENT THAT, WHILST HE WAS PORTRAYED AS AN AMERICAN HERO, BLACK AMERICANS WERE STILL OPPRESSED AND STILL HAD TO SIT AT THE BACK OF THE BUS!! AS A FATHER IN THE UNITED KINGDOM WHEN YOU DIVORCE YOU ARE GIVEN THE GOLD MEDAL OF "PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY" AND LIKE THE BUS, AS SOON AS YOU LEAVE COURT YOU GO TO THE BACK!! "PR" BETTER KNOWN AS PURE RUBBISH, CONVEYS NOTHING WHEN A FATHER CANNOT EVEN SEE HIS CHILD OR CHILDREN!!
As a father who is in the process of seeking a Shared Residence Order again!! I have to wonder what is in it for me other than the sound bite of PR?? Your marriage breaks up, Ok!! but then you have no house so your teenage years of bedsits or rented flats reappears all of a sudden but by now you are 40 - 50, your ex restricts contact and it's then all about the money, you work hard in a permanent job and allof a sudden your pay is deducted at source by a body called CSA which is supposed to mean Child Support but you question how much of your money actually gets used for the "child", if you ask for some accountability of how the money is being spent you are told it's not the concern of this agency "supporting children"!!, so as a father who has always been responsible, loved his children and has a Jim Will Fix it Gold Medal of PR you have two options:
Quit your job and duck and dive!!
or
Visit Switzerland and be put down!! After all dogs have more rights so a vet in the UK may refuse you an injection!!
The moral of this story is PR is a sound bite of Politicians who can't be bothered to get of their fat asses and actually debate properly the effects of a lost generation of kids growing up without Fathers!! More riots and families as dysfunctional as those in Eastenders and Emmerdale!!
Until Fathers can sit equally in the bus, the issues discussed on this site are "sound bites" and if a father opts to work Ltd or Self employed, possibly cooking the books, can you blame them?????????????????????????????????
When next in court if you get there, ask yourself this, how many Judges went to Boarding School? how many bitter and twisted single or divorced Family solicitors are there? Think about it!!! Now you have your answer as to why half the Legal Profession are on Prozac!!!
