Hello. Ok I have an old csa case with my ex husband, we have 2 kids together 18 and 16. Our eldest left home at 17 for about 6 weeks thinking college money would keep him! So off the csa he came and then on he went again 10/01/10. They recalculated the new amounts by 15/05/10 and put it to the finance team on the 15/06/10 to get the new payment schedule done - they ignored it n the 12 week time scale went, to cut a long drawn out story short they keep missing the deadlines for no reason as no changes have taken place and the new schedule still has not been done! I am at a loss. The old schedule ran out on the 1/11/10 so we currently dont have one. I complained and have been told when it is eventually completed I will be put forward for compensation!!!! Well you could knock me down compensation from the csa??!!! Is this unheard of i fully expect that to also take about ten years and be a poultry £10 though. That is if they ever sort out the new payment schedule my boy turns 19 in May so will have to be taken off so begins the nightmare again!
My current hubby has 2 girls by his ex wife who opted in and out of the csa every couple of months for no reason! She opted out in feb 2003 when we had our 1st child together. She opted in again in 2009 because we went on holiday! At that time we gave them every payslip and scrap they wanted it took them 9 months to give us a figure of £96 a week and found arrears from 2002 when she opted in and out and in and out so they wanted 40% of my hubbys wage to cover norm amount and arrears. We couldn't live on that at all we have an autistic child and his needs were forgotten as we couldn't afford our food electric and car, he was made redundant soon after which stopped the horrendous decision to seperate our family as we couldn't afford to live together any more. We owe them £2500 in arrears and even though my man is desperate to work he is terrified to get a job as the csa impact will mean financial riun for us! Why under the government run csa are second families worth so little why are our children given child tax credits and disability payments for some one else to take away? Why should the first family get their own child tax money and some of my kids money too?
Why is csa not just taken on the nrp wage? Who would be angry if it was fair like that? If the wage was taken into account and nothing else! NRP have a right to have a life too and a quality of life too. PWC should also expect a fair amount to help out! I do but I wouldnt want my exes children to new wife to suffer much as I loathe him it isnt his kids fault. I dont my kids to suffer either for mistakes made by people with no common sense who dont care who gets hurt by stupid unfair rules!!!
Why can the csa not be simple 15% of wage for 1 child 20% for 2 25% for 3 kids. NRP should get a portion of wage untouched for living expenses and if they live with someone else all money for kids in that house is untouchable NRP wage alone!! Is that too easy does anyone else think I am wrong in my simple view?
