Hi, advice needed, i'm paying the Csa every week on the dot...
Just found out the child i am paying for isnt living with his mum.
I think he is living with the man who could be his real father. All very strange, may need a Dna test, do i ask the Csa or pay for it privately?
I think the mother is playing games with both of us, and should that child be in her care if i am paying her to care for him?

  2. The CSA won't pay for it, and are unlikely to do anything until you either have a DNA test done yourself, or prove the child is living with someone else. If she's claiming CSA and the child isn't living with, that's fraud.

I'd suggest you contact the CSA, either by recorded post or by recording your phone call, and tell them of your concerns. Then apply for a DNA test - though you will have to pay for it and it can cost around £500.

  3. There is an obligation for the PWC to inform the agency if they cease to be such. If the PWC has negated to do so, once the agency are aware they can backdate the assessment to the period it would have taken effect.

I agree with Admin, you should contact the agency with your concerns, but I believe the onus will now possibly be on you to organise a DNA.

You would need a C100 form from the court, which is a specific Issue Order (also known as a section 8 order) and you will be seeking to 'Ascertain Paternity'. The fee is approx £175 and is payable at the time you submit the form to the court.
Once in receipt of this the court will issue a hearing, it will then be up to the judge to order a DNA test is carried out. (the actual cost of the test is not included).
