Hi all, im at a loss so trying here for a bit of advice.
To cut a long story short my other half has 2 boys from 2 previous relationships. 1 is 19 in dec 09 and the other just turned 16 in Oct 09. We have 2 daughters of our own aged 7 & 4. My other half didnt pay the csa for the 1st 7 years of eldest life as she wanted the cash (obviously he didnt keep any reciept of payment for this) anyway in 1998 he was persued by the CSA for both boys he made monthly payments direct from his wages and that has been the case until this day. we have informed them immediatley of any changes, births of our daughters, salary increases/decreases, house moves ect. Wgat brings me to write on here is that the eldest son left college and started full time work in september 2008. we notified the CSA so they could recalculate for just the one child now and so the story goes on. they wrote to eldest childs mum, who ignored them twice, so they rang my other half to see if he knew where said son works, he gave them address etc. weeks go by they write to other half to say case is being investigated. xmas comes and goes and still were paying monthly for both children. contacted in jan to ask whats happening they say they are still investigating, and that according to thier systems he hasnt been paying (even tho its a direct payment from his salary) sent a couple of recent payslips and then nothing. contacted the complaints dept and things started movin a bit quicker. other half was eventually assigned a case worker, she didnt call for a month. more weeks passed then he recieves a phone call to say that the case for oldest child has been closed (this is july 09) so other half says ok, but what about the money that ive paid since september? oh this is another problem, ok they will get onto it.. so we are now the 23rd november 2009 over a year since son has started working and 4 months since case was closed, but we are still paying monthly for both boys??!?! what do we do? were going round in circles meanwhile we living on the breadline with beautiful daughters who are going without.. what next guys? who do i contact to get this sorted as obviously the CSA just aint listening... small claims court? they have our money so why not? could we? your advice/guidence would be greatly appreciated... xxxxxxxxxxx
