I have had an on-going battle with the csa for some time now. The case was closed for new maintenance in 2002 and I was paying arrears under a penalty assessment of £101.25 a week. I sent them all the information they asked for back in 2005 and they then calculated what I should be paying. They also said that they could not implement the adjustments as there was an error with the system.
Since then I have had three statements at my request as I was being hounded by the enforcement liars. I told them they were wrong as it should not be going up as I was paying it off. I asked them to get it sorted on many occasions; the last time was when I spoke to Paul Morris in Falkirk who did nothing about it. The last statement I had said that I owed £32,000 in arrears and that I had paid £20,000. They threatened me with court action and put an inhibition on my house, I was due to go to court this Monday for my committal to prison or to have my driving licence revoked ( bearing in mind that they knew I was the primary carer for two young children ). In the end I went to my MP and had to get them to do something about it. They (CSA) sent me a letter asking for all the information that I sent them back in 2005, saying that I never sent it. I had kept all paperwork to do with the csa. I phoned and told them I had sent it all in. They said they had no record of it. I dug out a copy of the letter they sent to me in 2005 confirming the receipt of the information and with my new assessment. I phoned again and said I had a copy of the letter with my new assessment in 2005 and that I had sent a copy to my MP. They phoned me back 20 minutes later to say they had suddenly found all the information. (This was obviously a bunch of lies, they had it all the time). The CSA then contacted me to tell me that they were doing an audit. They also told me that they were still charging me for regular maintenance and that the amount I owed was £63,000. They then admitted that the case was closed in 2002. They had not implemented my assessment and that I only owed £18,000. I worked it out and I reckon I only owed £15,000. I have paid over £20,000. They said they will send a refund and apologised for the mistake. (Not good enough) I have been put under a lot of stress because of these fools. My health has suffered through worrying and I can't remember when I last had a restful night’s sleep.
I intend to sue them for all the stress and worry; I have been on medication for high blood pressure caused by stress. They have made my life hell for the past six years.
I intend to get an indepented assessment done as they are all a bunch of lying scumbags. I hope they all rot in hell.
