We've had some feedback from the various posts now and are starting to formulate some kind of concept, still very back of a fag packet, but we're hoping to have some documentation together soon that we can send out to people to get support.
The issues are right at the heart of the system where the NRP, for whatever reason, doesn't want to pay through the CSA. What we need to do is reverse that and get money to the RP for the support of the kids.
The idea is radically different from the current system, and attempts to address some of the issues around the NRP not paying as they are concerned where the money will go. The challenge is just about getting the NRP to pay an amount that they feel is fair and is enough for the RP to support the child.
The heart of the system is a website where the NRP can log on and buy vouchers for the RP. The RP can then go on and print off those vouchers and redeem them at supermarkets and various other shops to buy groceries, school uniform, etc.
There would be rules on the minimum amount that has to be paid and this would be based on the costs of supporting a child of a certain age, in a certain area of the country.
As I say this is still very rough draft, but it would be good to hear any feedback you may have and also if you think it may be a go-er, let me know if you would like to be involved.
