Advice here please. Was paying csa for my son and daughter till jul 2004 when son moved up to scotland with me having turned 16. my daughter 19 had left her mums previously and moved in with her gran. once son came up i claimed and successfully awaded child benefit. notified csa belfast and they told me to close case once i sent them proof which i did. heard nothing till sep 06 when got arrears lt demanding £5k plus. chased them up and they apologised advising case should have been closed 2004, they sent me letter sep 06 advising case closed and backdated to 2004. the £5k apparently 26 monthly instals up to that pt. every oct i get a annual schedule through and every year i call belfast and they say case closed but computer is racking up arrears. till now up to £12k. they advise the case is flagged up all over advising they cant stop the computer and that its charging in error. told me to ignore the schedules. i just worry every time that these letters come through. has anyone else experienced the same thing - case closed shows phantom arrears and keeps sending out annual schedules. anyone else in the same boat. thanks. rob
