I am after some advice please.

I will tell you a brief outline first and then you can give good advice please.

Back in 2001, I started paying an enormous amount of cash to my ex through CSA for 1 child. I then re married, bought a house, got my pension etc... as I was on old rules all this came into the equation then. My payments to her went down but I had arrears also so continued paying them.
She was given advice (by her cousin and sister) who work for CSA that she would be better off on new rules in 2008. She then got in touch with me and told me her scheming little plan. I stopped this from happening as I re opened up the old case as I was entitled to do by law within the 13 week period in my own name and the only person that could close the case was me so I was told. I pay directly from my employer to the CSA and have done from the very beginning. All was good until....

This week I get a call from CSA saying she has put in for a new case. I told them about my case that was open and they said they had closed it and would not listen to me. Can they do this or do they have to look to see if the old case is still in effect? I am still paying and have always done so through my employer to the CSA so the case must surely still be open?

What can I do to prevent this from happening? Anyone got any advice I would love to hear it.

    Many thanks.

A PWC can open a case and this will then take preference over the NRP,s case, in effect the PWC takes priority.

There were a few tactics that were employed by PWC's, often on the advice of the CSA. My ex wife (herself receiving Child Support) was told she could get more money under the new system. All she had to do was to write explaining she no longer wanted the CSA to collect on her behalf - after a period of time she could then submit a new claim and she would be on the new system. Even though the father continued to pay directly this meant nothing.
