Im paying CSA via a DOE i did have arrears of 22,000 but now its down to 7000 mainly due to the CSA taking all but £68 per month ( yes per month) from my wages( I ended up suicidal and was refered to a shrink for treatment nealry lost my home and was getting food parcels from the lads at work)
my lad is now 16. I was led to believe he was going in the armed forces but now find out he is going to collage to do A levels. he will be woking during the summer but all his mother will tell them he is garenteed 4hr per week but wont say actually how many hours he is working. What i want to do is pay a lump sum which includes payments till he is 18 and the lump sum off in one go and get the CSA off my back. Can this be done or can she say in 12 months time reopen the case and i end up paying again. All i want to do is pay it all in one go and get them off my back for good never to hear from them again.

Sorry dwabbit to hear about your troubles above.

If your lad goes to college to do A Levels then you will be paying CSA until the age of 19years.

Find out where he is going to be working put it in writing and send it off to the CSA by recorded delivery and keep a copy of this. Put in it what his earnings are etc.

Dont be paying lump sums dont be silly what if your circumstances change then you have lost all of your money. CSA are mentally getting to you. Dont let them. Are you on benefits if you are then they can only take a small amount of you.

Get real. Your ex can reopen her case at anytime up until your son reaches the age of 19 if he is in further education or goes out to work or on benefits in his own right.
