The CSA does not work for anyone. My self and my partner have between us 4 cases with the CSA. The first case is with an ex who pays £150 a month towards the upkeep of his son by DEO it comes in around the first of the month but i'm lucky to get it the same month, i find the only thing which helps is ringing and threatening with my MP. The second parent owes me arrears of £3000 when he was working and they decided to take some arrears off him he mysteriously became too ill to work any more and is now fighting me to pay travel expenses so he can see his daughter when he moved away after 18 months arguing with CSA he now pays £5.00 per week which will all be gone if i have to pay travel costs this parent has never contributed towards clothes shoes school trips or anything else. The third has never seen his son and again when the CSA put his CSA up he also went on the sick and i get £1.60 a week which after 8 months i still have not recieved a penny. The forth child we should also be getting £1.60 a week and in 5 years we have recieved a total of £10 also does not see the other parent. I don't agree that the CSA should take every penny of absent parents but the system is too easy to get around, out of 4 parents only one pays anything like a reasonable amount and i still have to badger the CSA for that the other 3 don't work at all yet they all swan around the country, go to the pub and enjoy themselves whilst we can do nothing, have no social life or anything because we have to feed, cloth and keep a roof over their heads. If i didn't support and provide for my children then i would be done for child abuse but these absent parents always get away with it, they have rights but no responsibility
