Ill keep this as short as i can.

I had a silly night last year in 2009, got drunk and had a one night stand. The women fell pregnant and had the baby.

In the 9 months she was pregnant she has met a man who has married her (i dont have a problem with this as it was a one night stand). They have also had a baby that was born last month.

She does let me see the baby who is 13 months old once a week for an hour which i appreciate and i would love to see her more if she would let me (I tried seeing a solicitor and couldnt afford it)

Im paying CSA of £140 a month, however, i cant live after i have paid everything.

After the CSA has taken their £140 im left with about £750
    I pay £500 rent
Electric £80 a month (everything is electric in my property no gas)
I pay £60 a month for my bus pass
I then have my Phone contract that im stuck with until 2011 - thats £40 a month

Thats £680 before i get any food.

To be honest i dont know if anyone will agree or think its disgusting for me to say this - but i think im paying to much, I cant live on this amount of money.

She has married someone she only met for a month and has a baby by him. THEY are a family now so he will also be supporting her and the kids - hope that makes sense.

Im not trying to get out of paying because i really to beleive the father has to pay his way, but i cant live at the moment with all this happening

I spoke to the CSA to see if i could work overtime in work to make back the money they were taking, they simply said NO, and if i do overtime they wil just take more.

    arrrg.

You sound like a nice bloke. One thing i have to say is the baby yours. You can ask for a DNA test.

You are under the new scheme the amount you have to pay is 15% of your income. no more.

You say she has another baby has she applied for CSA for this child if not then why not. Mention this to CSA. You are entitled to a discount of what the maintance calculated is for you. Ask questions.

You have to have your child staying with you for two nights every week which entitles you to pay less as well this is called shared care.

Dont ever give her any other money into her hand you need to pay her through your bank account into hers as this creates a paper trail. When you buy xmas presents and pay for summer hols etc when the child gets older keep receipts and put it in writing to the CSA. This will come of your weekly assessment as well.

Force the CSA to find out who the father of her other child is tell them that it is her partners. If so and he is working then his income has to be counted along with hers as income coming into the household. Along with her child benefit. If they are not working then his income is still counted. Dont let them tell you it is not. They can see from Child Benefit what the childs last name is.

Dont take everything they tell you is gospel truth fight them i did for my partner and won. So can you.

    Good Luck

So sorry for the late reply.

I appreciate you ask if the baby is mine. As much as i dont have it confirmed via any DNA etc. Im pretty sure she is mine. From the look of her.

For the DNA test i would have to pay and thats something i cant afford either.

She is now married to the new babies father, im not sure how they are working it (i.e saying he is the father or not) I dont think he works either. He is in college learning English - Yeah thats right learning English, this just get more and more complicated by the minute.

And to be honest in the last 10 months i have managed to obtain 3 pay rises totalling £1500 but also have another worry. Will the CSA back date anything from me once they find out i have had my increase in pay?

    Any help would be appreciated
