I feel like i am being BLACKMAILED!! I am the father of an 11 year old daughter and my ex is very difficult. We dont get along at all. I saw my daughter for the first few years but when i got a new partner things changed. The mother said she would no longer allow me to see her as she didnt want my new partner to have anything to do with her. We had a verbal agreement that when she got to an age where she asked to see us she would be allowed yet i have just found out that this is not the case. My daughter has been asking to see us but has been told she cant. The problem is i have a mortgage etc... and i feel i am in a no win situation. If i try and see her or have any contact she threatens to take us to the CSA. It has even gone as far as to block my account on facebook so i cant even see any pictures of her. I have a job where i come out with around £1080 after tax. After the bills are all paid we are left with about £100 left to our name and she knows she has us over a barrel. I just wondered if anyone could put me in the picture as to what i would expect to be paying, what i would be left with, what the CSA take into account when calculating your payments etc... Thanx

Try this. It's the maintenance calculator on the CSA website.

    https://www2.dwp.gov.uk/csa/v2/en/calculate-maintenance.asp

Basically, it's 15% of your net income for one child, with allowances made for your personal circumstances.
