CSA cant just land you with an assessment for arrears for there mistakes. How are they working out your calculations.

Ask them for a break down in your actual assessment. You are on the old system this is good because you can claim back for more stuff than on the new.

Are you getting for travel to work, housing costs, children living with you.

Get the paperwork out and start looking. They will take up to 40% of you net income which will be your assessment and the rest arrears. Tell them to bugger off if they want more they are entitled to it.

Please look at your assessment and start fighting them back. Is your ex working, living with a new partner, have a new child to this partner. If they tell you to pay all your wages over to them would you. You have to live as well.

Please get back to me and tell me your proper assessment details.

no checked Mr Cook he never went to court, maybe settled maybe never got past the first stage? his claim was he was discriminated against instead of being victimised which is a different kettle of fish dont you agree?

Hi wagg, any luck in getting anywhere with this? I just got my new assessment to adjust from paying from three children to two, guess what mine has gone up as well ! I called the ever helpful maintenance team to be told its due to "income support" rises, yeah thanks for that !!I'm also on the old system that F**ks you over evn more than the new one. If you get anywhere please let me know and I will do vice-versa. Cheers, Simon

hi all, i have just had a nice letter from the csa,to tell me i am in arears because they could not process my information with speed, and they want it now!!!!!!!!
i made a gesture payment, too keep them sweet, but wanted more, and said the quicker i pay it the quicker it will go away. i also have to increase my payments by a third each month and thats not covering the arears, hmmm, slight slip up some where i think,i have one child left to pay for from the original three, so how do the calculate that i need to pay more for one than three????? oh forgot to mention i am on the old assesment system, does anyone think i have a case for discrimination, as they wont put me on the new system, i have completed the complaints form and sent it recorded mail, does any one know what my next step can be if this fail ????
