The bad news for you is that you did not need to pay for the daughter throughout college. Your obligation basically ended when the child leaves &#34; full time education&#34;- i.e A levels in school. Uni is classed as &#34;further education&#34; where your contributions become discretionary.&#60;br /&#62;
First thing I would do is cancell the Standing Order/Direct Debit and then write to the CSA telling them why. My MP was a waste of space. Just write directly to the Independent Case Examiner in Chester- they are fair, professional and at least the CSA responds to queries set by them, unlike Joe Public. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;(For child maintenance purposes, a child is anyone under 16 or someone between 16 and 19 who:&#60;br /&#62;
is not, nor has ever been, married or in a civil partnership, and&#60;br /&#62;
is in full-time non-advanced education.&#60;br /&#62;
Also, anyone aged 16 or 17 who is not in education, is not working and does not receive employment-related benefits is defined as a child for child maintenance purposes).

<description>&#60;p&#62;i have been given the run around by the csa ,im at my wits end .my daughter has now finished college and im still paying £257 a mth .ive spoken to csa about this on several occasions and each time told to ring back in however many days ,only to be told today that my case is one of the rare ones that cant get closed down (yeh right piffle).in order for me to get it closed and to have the payments stoppped apparently its up to me to get intouch with some MP to instigate an inquiry or somthing to have the payments stopped .PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS JUST WAFFLE .
