Ex lied to CMS so all of a sudden I owe thousands in arrears

March 3, 2017

Over the last 10 years odd ,my ex used the csa like a weapon on me if she wasn’t happy & totally in control ,I had many letters & calls from csa ,the 2 kids are now 28 & 26 ? I never ever paid to the csa tho,we had our own agreement all the time.In sep 2015 I got a letter out the blue from cms saying i owe £9,500 from 2006 ??? Never heard of this b4,I phoned cms & they said ignore it’s a mistake.

Then in feb 2016 got the same letter & told it’s correct & I owe it ? She has told them that 4 18 months I didn’t pay her which is lies, she asked for cash as it would affect her tax credits & stupidly did coz wanted to benefit her & kids, my case is going on still & I’m fighting it all the way as it’s basically fraud,,I had the kids 3 /4 nights a week over 10 years & cms saying shared access reduction doesn’t count as it’s too long ago ??? But they can send bill from 10 years ago & that’s fine,,

I would luv to hear off anyone in similar situation who could help with advice & info or someone who’s been through this same harrowing experience,18 months of hell up to now ? I’ve contacted my MP & getting a solicitor on board that will cost me £5k ish ,but knowledge is power & would be grateful of any help ??

This is nothing new, it’s been going on for years and thousands of fathers are affected. They are called ‘Fictitious Arrears’ and are arrears invented by the Csa. The National Audit Office is fully aware of what is going on and has refused to sign off the Csa accounts ever since it’s inception. And, this is why the Csa is being closed down. False Accounting. Involve your MP, put in ‘Formal Complaints’ and get your MP to write to the National Audit Office on your behalf. If you go on CsaHell on Facebook I have a post ‘Fictitious Arrears’, go read it, it will help you understand what is going on and what to do about it. You are not alone, thousands are affected.

Threaten to take the CSA / DWP to court, contact them by letter and tell them your are going to a solicitor and are currently writing to the Financial Ombudsman and the Gov.UK Complaints department.
