Ex has assaulted me and stolen from me, yet still the CSA want me to pay her

February 22, 2013

When I was accused of being a child’s Father I made payment voluntarily, under a private arrangement, with all payments being mad via Standing order from my bank account, I have made payments for the last 18 Years this was, until the child began full time employment, then by mutual agreement the payments ceased.

Which left me in a position to take out a mortgage. The Childs Mother began demanding money off me, and when I informed her that I no longer has any spare income, she got in touch with the CSA.

I have now had to stop work because of the harassment from the CSA. It has made me ill, plus the removed so much of my salary I will no longer be able to afford to carry on with my employment, as I can no longer afford the fuel to actually get to work.

My employer is about to terminate my employment and my ex has assaulted me, stolen money off me…..seems she can do whatever she wants and the CSA back her to the hilt.

I am sorry to hear all that…the corrupt uncaring organisation called the CSA really needs a major overall, the trouble is nobody listens. Read the literature in DirectGov, you state she is 18, is she in empoyment, education…etc? Don’t be to hasty and don’t be to hard on yourself.

If the child in question is in full time employment you are no liable for child maintenance – as such I question why the case was opened.

Is it that the case was opened under the 1993 scheme due to the PWC being in receipt of benefits – at that time anyone claiming benefits with dependent children had to have a case with CSA. Are the payments the agency are asking for now for regular maintenance or is it secretary of state debt? If it’s SoS debt and you can provide evidence (bank statements) that you paid the PWC direct then this can be off-set against any outstanding debt on the case.

if that child is now 19 you no longer have any liability to pay her anything and if its relating to prior show your records prooving you have paid maintenece

You are a man, of course you have to pay up. Not only do the CSA expect you to pay up, they expect you to man up and accept it all with a stiff upper lip. The stiff upper lip being the lip that is frozen solid because you have no money to heat your home in this weather, because the CSA want it all, and your left kidney if they could get it. Expect the ‘Organ as a valid repayment where monetary debt cannot be secured’ in an upcoming ammendment to the statutes!

Got something to say?
