I would have to pay less on the new CSA system

May 31, 2012

I was paying £500 a month for 2 children i have, my eldest has now left collage and the csa contacted me telling me i no longer have to pay for her and that they will be re calculating my monthy payments as i only have 1 child on the csa now They got back in contact with me to give me my new payment details for my 1 child which is … £500 A MONTH, which is what i was paying when i had 2 children on the csa, all they have done is doubled my youngest child csa?

I am on the old csa system which i hate and think is unfair, on my wages i have worked out on the new system i will only pay £250 a month which is half of what im paying now!

I have 7 years left to pay csa, so at the moment paying £500 a month is about £42,000 from now till the end .. BUT if i was on the new system i would only pay Read more

CSA have let my ex get away without paying a penny

May 31, 2012

From my own personal experience with the CSA, I think there about as useful as a chocolate teapot. The father of my two daughters has got away with paying what his two daughters are entitled to for…..forever, and the final letter I had from the CSA informing me that he owed me £0.00, Absolute waste of time and energy, my energy!!

I dare say there are some people who have experienced Joy with the CSA. Just to add he has always worked, he’s self employed, its not that he’s been on JSA or any other benefit.

I am paying more than I should – what can I do to reduce my payments?

May 31, 2012

I have been paying the CSA for years. I always thought the payments were way too high, but CSA, and my MP, were telling me they were right, so I didn’t argue it any more.

My payments have now shot up by another £90 per month, which means I am now paying £410 per month, which is 30% of my monthly salary.

Other posts I’ve read here state I should only be paying 15%.

Can anyone please give me some advice because I just don’t know what to do?

I know I need to pay for my child, that’s not in question, however I really feel I’m being taken advantage of!

Thank you.

I have not received money to pay for my son

May 30, 2012

I received a letter several weeks ago stating that on the 25th of every month, I would receive a payment. My first payment was due to be £206 and to be payed into my bank account today, the 25th May. However, when I checked my bank today, the payment was not in my bank.

I now have no money to pay for my son. I was counting on this money so I could get him more food, wipes and nappies, and now he will run out as I do not get any more money till Tuesday.

Could you please sort this out as soon as possible as I do not find this acceptable.

Ex contests whether I am the father, should I still pay CSA?

May 30, 2012

I have a daughter Eva who is 5 in october. I’m dealing with a lawyer and have court proceedings to get to see my daughter as the reason for not getting to see her is due to lack of finance her mother wants more money that i dont have.

My ESA has money deducted from it which isnt enought but in the eyes of the law im paying what the law states. What has come to light is my ex partner is now contesting weather im Eva’s biologicol father. Nearly 5 years into her life her mother throws this in my face.

Should i be paying csa now that this has been highlighted??

kind regards

Money from ex goes in daughter’s trust fund

May 30, 2012

My husband left me and my 3 year old daughter 7 months ago before which we had decided that it was best for me to give up work as I had experienced two miscarriages and work was very stressful. I just need to know what benefits I am entitled to.

Currently, I receive £80 per month but it goes straight to my daughters trust fund. Could you tell me how to re-direct this to my bank account please?

Also please advice of any other benefits I may be entitled to.

Many thanks

Do I have to pay CSA if ex lives in Jersey?

May 29, 2012

My ex wife is planning to leave the courts Jurastiction to permantely reside in Jersey with my daughter and her partner (we both currently live in East Anglia). I have and continue to pay £260 per month for maintenance for our daughter which has been agreed mutually (not via CSA) and documented as such in our divorce paperwork.

Please can you advise if there is a legal requirement for me to continue to pay maintenance if she resides out side the jurastiction (Jersey) as as a resuly of her taking my daughter, I will incure addittional costs such as traveling, childcare etc.

We are crippled as a family because of the CSA

May 29, 2012

My husband and I have two children together , 3 and 1. He has a daughter from a previous relationship, 17. He fell out with his daughters mother over I-Don’t-Know-What and it’s been hell. We never had a payment scheme, we always just bought what she needed when she needed it, shoes, holidays, school things, whatever.

The mother went to the CSA and told them that he’d never paid a penny. We were stung with a £6000 arrears balance, plus regular maintenance. We talked for hours on Read more

CSA say they have lost my letter

May 29, 2012

At the end of August 2007 I recieved a document from the CSA which was sent to me in error, which we now believe to have been a copy of claimants application for maintenance. I phoned the CSA to ask what it was all about and was informed that there was no claim and that I did not appear on there system. The lady I spoke with suggested if I believed someone was in the process of making a claim I should write to the CSA which I did. I sent the letter track and trace and it was delivered to the CSA office in Hastings and signed for by them. They never responded to the letter and although the have confirmed receipt they have apparently lost the letter.

I recieved a phone call from the CSA on the 20th October 2007 from a lady who informed me that a claim had been made. I vehemently disputed the claim and we discussed the criteria to make claim and if I should make a counter claim. The lady in question Read more

May 29, 2012

Anyone who has ever dealt with the Child Support Agency will not be in the least surprised by this latest story of deceit, fraud and theft from the CSA. Child Support Agency worker, Clair Jones, who is supposed to help parents with care receive money from non-resident parents for the upbringing of their children, has been jailed by Plymouth Crown Court for diverting money into her own bank account.
