CSA Step Up Propaganda

The Child Support Agency have stepped up a series of propaganda news stories telling how they’ve collected money for children throughout the UK. Over the last few weeks numerous press releases, disguised as news reports have appeared in local press around England, Wales and Scotland stating how children have benefited from the CSA’s actions.
There has been no mention however of how fathers have had their lives destroyed, the mistakes the CSA have made, the fact that they’ve refused to listen. These stories have taken a positive spin on the CSA.
For example:
Absent parents in Lincolnshire pay a record £12 million.
The chief executive of the CSA, Stephen Geraghty said:
The CSA will continue to pursue parents who evade their financial responsibilities.
Fathers in Scotland pay £1 billion.
The CSA Minister, James Plaskitt commented:
The implementation of the Operational Improvement Plan, and the hard work and commitment of our staff demonstrates the improvements that have been made. Existing CSA clients should be reassured that they will continue to see further improvements when the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission is established later this year.
£11.8 million paid by fathers in South Essex.
Basildon Council’s Malcolm Buckley said:
This is good news as the whole point of setting up the CSA was to ensure families with young children get the money they deserve.
Payment boost for children in the North West.
James Plaskitt again said:
It is excellent news that we are getting more money to more children in north west England. Since March 2005, more than £332m in maintenance payments have benefited children in the area.
£90 million for children in the Midlands.
Stephen Geraghty again made the same comment he made for Lincolnshire.
£4.6 million paid by fathers in Edinburgh.
As you can see the CSA has been working hard getting the word out that it has been successful, bragging about the money it has clawed from non resident parents for its own profit in attempt to make itself look like a competent organisation.
The CSA is not competent, it’s riddled with corruption and mistakes. CSAHell.com aims to bring those mistakes to the attention of the British public.
How much should I pay for my 3 children?

When you have children by more than one partner you may wonder how much you should pay each ex partner for the children they have. Eric Connoly has emailed us to ask that question.
Eric says:
I have two children with one partner and we split up 5 years ago. I pay her £350 per calender month in an informal agreement plus incidentals ( shoes, clubs etc.)
My new partner left me and I have been contacted by the CSA on her behalf concerning maintenance for our son.
How can i find out how much I will pay and how to be fair to all three children?
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Generally Eric if you have three children, which you say that you do, you will be expected by the CSA to pay 25% of your income (after tax) to the CSA for them. This would be divided between the children.
As you say you were paying £350 per month for your two children with your first partner, according the the CSA you should have been paying her 20% of your income.
This does mean that your first partner should get less now than what she was receiving before, as instead of getting 20% she’ll be receiving a 2/3 share of 25%.
Make sure though that you inform the CSA that you are paying for your first two children. They will most likely want to get involved there themselves and take a cut of the money.
That’s how they operate I’m afraid.
If you don’t tell them however you may end up paying too much and not be able to afford it.

Man faces Ruin because of CSA

Father Freddie Harrison is facing financial ruin because of the child support agency. He claims he will end up on streets, unable to keep his home, if the CSA doesn’t reassess what he owes for his children. He is currently having £300 per month deducted direct from his wages as the result of a DEO (deduction of earnings order).
It’s not that I’m refusing to pay, I have never refused to pay. I have had regular contact with my children and have always paid to help support them except last year when I was unemployed and didn’t have any money.
Freddie Harrison has children with two ex partners and they’ve been in touch with the child support agency to say that he hasn’t been making regular payments for his kids. Mr Harrison says that he gave them his details so they could pass them on to the CSA, but was stunned when the CSA calculated how much he was to pay.
I am not one of those fathers who is not interested in their children and has nothing to do with them and has never paid to support them. I care for them and they regularly come to stay with me. But if the CSA insist on taking this money it is going to literally ruin me.
I work to live, I don’t have lots of luxuries, I don’t go on holiday, I drive an old banger and practically all my money goes on keeping a roof over my head and that of my partner and her daughter.
Mr Harrison says the CSA are not taking into consideration any of his outgoings aside for tax and national insurance contributions. Sadly that is the case with the child support agency. They do not take into consideration any of your outgoings when you are the non resident parent. You are expected to pay what they calculate, and there is nothing you can do about.
I don’t consider my nett wage as fritter money, in fact it is extremely hard to make ends meet. I pay rent, council tax, road tax, car maintenance, utility bills, VAT on everything we buy including food, but none of these are seen as essential living costs.
Both Mr Harrison and his partner work rather than claim benefits, though if he did become unemployed the sad truth is he may be financially better off. Mr Harrison has written to Prime Minister Gordon Brown to ask why the child support agency are so wantonly punishing loving parents, though it is unlikely the PM will interject as thousands of fathers have been persecuted by the CSA to date, with many becoming bankrupt or even committing suicide.
CSA can be racists but not unionists, say CSA

The controversy over the Nazi CSA worker rank Swaine and the decision by the child support agency to let him stand for the BNP, despite working for the CSA and handling the cases of single parents and non resident parents rages on. In the same office, Eddie Fleming, the chair for the PCS has been sacked for union activities.
Seems it’s fine to be a bigoted racist when you work for the child support agency, but to be a unionist.
The CSA in Hastings have ignored protests about their decision to allow Nazi Frank Swaine to stand for his bigoted beliefs and represent the BNP. This is despite the fact that the CSA have a code of conduct for its employees to promote ethnic diversity and equality within the community.
The fact that the BNP have very opinionated views on custody and ethnicity seems alien to the CSA, as they’re perfectly fine with a self proclaimed racist working for them.

CSA hate the fighting type

I was contacted by the CSA under the guise of the DWP on the 2nd November 2007and wanted to know what my earnings were as my ex wife was applying for child tax credits, I asked them to prove who they were which they could not do so they then said they were from the CSA so I exercised my rights and told them if they required any information from me to request it in writing. Three days later I received a form saying I am liable for £100 and please fill in the Direct Debit mandate form attached to the form.
I rang up the Leisa Erskine to ask how she had come to this figure and she said it was the figure my ex wife had told them I was earning. I asked her again to send out a proper MEF form for me to fill in and furnish them with my wage slips, she refused and just said if I did not return the Direct Debit mandate form she would issue a DEO straight away. I advised her of the correct procedure she should follow but she chose to ignore me and on the 13th November issued my employer with a DEO. This Liesa Erskine from the Accrington department did not even contact my employer to ask them to furnish them with my earnings.
I kept trying to call them and they just kept trying to fob me off so I issued court proceedings against the CSA and I put up a good case. The Court Presenting officer for the CSA Judith Cheetham came with no evidence at all, I had about 15 exhibits which I presented to the Magistrates and the legal advisor and it proved that the CSA had made loads of mistakes. Judith Cheetham kept saying well the agencies preferred method of working is we contact the NRP by phone to speed things up, the Magistrates just laced into her stating that we are not bothered about what the agency’s preferred method of working is we are concerned about what laws and procedures you have broken when trying to deal with Mr X . It is all to common for the CSA to abuse powers and not give people the chance to furnish you with their details all because you want to start collecting money straight away.
During the recess I happened to be sat in an interview room next to where the CSA’s Judith Cheetham was sitting and I overheard her on her mobile to her bosses back at the CSAtapo office saying ” he threw this one at me he told the Magistrates about this law we broke and that procedure we did not follow I don’t ever want to do another case like this , this Mr X has come well prepared so is there anything we can do to prove we did things right” silence for a few minutes then “what do you mean no. Right that’s the last case like this im doing”
It made my day listening to her however the Magistrates did not have the power to lift the DEO but warned Judith Cheetham to go back to the CSA and advise them to start the case again from scratch but that was off the record however it was good seeing them squirm in court.
After the case I kept ringing them asking them to start again from scratch and I would furnish them with my details but they refused, in one call I spoke to a Jolene Burr and stated to her that the Magistrates advised the CPO and CSA to start again from scratch, Jolene stated to me that the CSA was not in receipt of the outcome of the court case as it was Christmas post and it would probably be still in the post, I told her that both myself and Judith Cheetham had been given copies of the outcome, with that Jolene came back and said that she had spoken to Judith Cheetham however she was on Leave and I would have to wait till after christmas to find out what would happen. I later that day called back to the CSA to demand to sort this out but i never put my DOB or NI when you first call the CSA so when the advisor picked up the phone she introduced herself as Jolene Burr and how can she help, I asked to speak to Judith Cheetham to which she replied yes just a minute Ill put you through, a few minutes later Jolene comes back and states Judith is busy on another line can she take a message, I simply said “so she is in today” jolene replied “yes she is definitely in,” hmmm 2 hours ago she was on leave now she is in, who is lying? When I confronted Jolene Burr about what she had just done she tripped over herself trying to make excuses “oh I dialled her number and it rang” no you said to me she was on leave now you said she is definitely in so why lie to me.
I have been recording every conversation with these idiots and I even had one Caseworker saying I had definitely received some documentation how the heck she knows i do not know. Earlier in January of 2008 I actually spoke to a decent lady Jayne Jeffcoate who when she looked at my case told me that procedure had not been followed and agreed to lift the DEO and let me have the chance to pay by cheque. Arrears were negotiated at £28 per month job sorted.. so I thought. Two days later I received confirmation of my payment by cheque and the arrears at £28 per WEEK. hmm thinking it was a typing error I contacted the Agency again and I was put through to a Jill Tribet, I queried the error but she just said I’m re imposing the DEO it should not have been taken off so its back on end of matter, I asked her to be reasonable and just allow me to pay by cheque but she refused.
I have also been accused of sending emails in to the CSA telling them that i should not be paying the CSA anything as I have not seen my kids, this is untrue and I have asked them numerous times to send me a copy of the alleged email along with my email address but they haven’t done, amazing how you catch them out lying. In the end I was put through to the famous Judy Cass who said the DEO is staying on and that is the end of the matter I know you don’t like it but that’s tough its on and its staying on.
I have since found out that they are imposing DEO even on NRPs who have been paying for years via DD or standing order, and how are they doing it? well they are making up imaginary arrears which they cannot back up, telling NRPs to pay the arrears immediately then when the NRPs query the imaginary arrears the CSA are classing this as being non compliant and refusing to pay and issuing DEOs. This is to make their figures and targets look good.
I have taken it upon myself to set up an organisation to help get all NRPs/PP together and campaign against this draconian agency and rid it and its people and lets get a fair system set up for NRPs and lets stop this government driving more fathers into poverty and even to suicide.

Parents living abroad escape CSA

According to research by the Conservatives, more than 6,200 non-resident parents are living abroad, and only a quarter of them are paying through the child support agency. This means that around 5,000 parents are escaping paying for their children, with a total debt of over £26,000,000.
The research says that parents living outside the UK are getting away without paying far more than parents living in the country.
Figures also reveal that the CSA are currently owed £3.7 Billion, which represents an increase of £200 Million from the previous year, and an increase of £1.4 Billion since the year 2000.
The CSA say that less than half of the money they are owed is actually recoverable, meaning they have written off over £2 Billion. The money ‘owed’ to the CSA is increasing at approximately £16 Million each month, almost £200 Million every year. This money is owed by a staggering 137,700 uncleared cases.

The new CSA scheme has a worse set of results than the previous scheme. Of this new scheme, only 65% of cases actually pay where 72% paid through the old system. Mistakes are rife as well with only 85% of calculations are deemed accurate. The old system saw 92% of maintenance calculations deemed accurate.
The worse thing of all is that the CSA costs over £500 Million per year to run, which is twice what it cost in 1997.
Chris Grayling, the Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions said:
It is now 11 years since this Government first promised to get to grips with the CSA and each year that goes by it seems that more and more families get caught up in a system that’s just not working. The Government has promised great plans for reform but the families that have experienced problems in the last few years will remain sceptical.
DWP wants to spend more of our money on IT

As if the child support agency hadn’t cost the UK taxpayer enough money, the Department for Work and Pensions wants to increase the amount of money spent on their IT systems.
They want to significantly increase the amount of money spent on them over the next two years.
The DWP has a total amount of £1.9 Billion budgeted on their IT projects between now and 2010. The CSA were responsible for throwing away £233 million of that money. Yours and my money.
The DWP has already completed IT upgrades on the Jobcentreplus CRM system, online pensions forecast system, HR and financial system improvements, state pension system, benefits debt recovery and they replaced the legacy benefits systems.
It is the CSA however that is costing the government the most money as they have severe IT problems with their system.
The CSA stated in November that it intended to make huge IT upgrades to its EDS CS2 system (which cost £450 million originally) as well as telecoms enhancements, costing a further £320 million.
The £450 million EDS system had 500 separate faults, which were discovered three years after it had been built.
Our money is in safe hands eh?
BNP Racist works for Child Support Agency

Frank Swayne, a claims handler for the child support agency in the Hastings CSA office, is an active member of the racist British National Party. Swayne, the racist CSA worker, plans to stand for election for the BNP in next week’s local elections.
Gordon Brown is being urged to step in and ban the CSA worker, and another BNP member, Daniel Thorlby who handles pensions in Newcastle, from standing for election.
Labour MP Michael Foster is trying to stop the pair from standing:
It is outrageous that the DWP should have allowed these people to stand and I am asking the prime minister to look at this. We should follow the example of the police who do not employ members of the BNP because they would be perceived to be racist when dealing with the public.
Mark Serwotka is general secretary for the PCS, and he intends to attack the decision from the Department for Work and Pensions, who have allowed the two racists to stand for election, at the ‘Love Music, Hate Racism’ rally in East London’s Victoria Park on Sunday.
This department is supposed to be about helping some of the most vulnerable people in society, and promoting equality. How can it possibly be right for active BNP members to be working there?
A spokesman for the Department for Work and Pensions stated:
Standing for election as a local councillor is, for a civil servant at this level, permitted by the civil service management code.
Keith MacDonald costs the taxpayer £1,000,000

Keith MacDonald is 22, jobless and is the father of seven kids with seven different women. He seduces teenage girls on buses, gets them pregnant and then leaves them with child.
Keith even caused one girl to miscarriage through the stress he caused her. He’s been to jail, and has two restraining orders against him from two seperate women. Worse still, he spends what money he has on himself, fruit machine and cigarettes, and refuses to pay for any of the children.
I don’t pay anything for any of my kids. I don’t see them, so why should I?” he sneered. “They get benefits. They get looked after.
I don’t really know most of them. They are just kids I sometimes see when I am out shopping or walking round town.
Why aren’t the child support agency forcing this waster to pay for his kids? The fact that he has no money goes some way to explain it, but why hardworking, loving fathers are forced to live in poverty because of the CSA, where as lazy, work shy scum like Keith MacDonald get away without paying a penny.
Keith even says he doesn’t care that he burdens the country with his brood, and he’ll continue to get more girls pregnant.
I will probably have more. Buses are great places to chat up girls. They never seem to say no to me. I am quite good looking and have a good sense of humour and blue eyes.
I tell them I won’t use a condom because it’s like stepping into a bath with a sock on.
But they still have sex with me. So it’s really not my fault. I want to bring up a kid properly but I just haven’t met the right person.
All of his girlfriends have one thing in common, they’re all jobless single mothers.
As every girl is allowed £18 per week in child support, £46 in tax credit and £50 income support; benefit for each of them until the children are 18 coupled with Keith MacDonald’s lifetime of benefits means the scrounger will cost the British tax payer £1,000,000.
The jobless scum comes from Washington, Tyne and Wear. His first child was born in 2001, to Michelle Purvis. Michelle says:
Everyone thought I was leading him astray. I haven’t seen him since my child was born—and I never want to see him again.
His second victim was 16 year old Charlotte Anderson. She left Keith after he punched her in the stomach.
I had so much trouble from him I had to get an injunction against him. He’s not allowed to be within 400 metres of my home. I hope I never see him again.
The same story is repeated for all of his victims, and Keith has now managed to find another stupid girl to knock up. Teenager Stacy Barker is now pregnant with his eighth child.
Will he ever end up paying for his children? Of course not, the CSA would have to be a fair system first.
In an ideal world, Keith would be ‘done’ so that he cannot father any more kids. That wouldn’t sit well with the liberals of this world though.
