CSA have let my ex get away without paying a penny

May 31, 2012

From my own personal experience with the CSA, I think there about as useful as a chocolate teapot. The father of my two daughters has got away with paying what his two daughters are entitled to for…..forever, and the final letter I had from the CSA informing me that he owed me £0.00, Absolute waste of time and energy, my energy!!

I dare say there are some people who have experienced Joy with the CSA. Just to add he has always worked, he’s self employed, its not that he’s been on JSA or any other benefit.

My husbands ex took him to the CSA in Nov 2010 for his then 17 year old daughter(their son lived with us and had just left our home). We did not have time to breathe between demanding tax forms and accountant documentation of the 2010 tax year..Some letters gave us one day to get the forms back in before the CSA would fine us.I do not have a clue how the Self Employed get to pay nothing or hardly anything at all.We pay £104 per month(okay not much some will say)but we were each responsible for one child each theirs not mine)just ours left home first. The ex stated she did not make a claim(,she did, we know that),but we made 1st payment of £414.. and then £104 per month. Our last payment is July .I have a son by my ex but after sending him to the CSA and not getting any money from him since Jan I have cancelled the claim. This July will be the last time ever(i hope)that we never have to deal with the CSA again.

You are right totally useless. Destroy people. Complete waste of taxpayers money.

  • Brett says:

Thats the CSA for you. They target certain people giving it 100% in order to destroy their lives. Others get away scott free. Its a figures and numbers game. Why waste time going after the self employed when they can target PAYE and steal lots more money. The whole system stinks !

Unfortunately (like my case too) many self employed people do not end up financially supporting their children or not much/correct amount.

Please join the facebook groups child support agencies failings and others that give advice and support.

    Good Luck
