Should I still be paying for my son?

July 16, 2015

I currently pay for my son who turned 18 in August. He works part-time and attends college doing a plumbing course 3 days per week.

Should I still be paying maintenance for him?

What’s CSA rule about continued payments?

July 11, 2015

my son is 16 years of age, he has left full time education and starts an apprentiship on 1st September he told me that he would be going to college one day per week but when his mother realised that i had contacted the CSA he now apparantley attends college 1 1/2 days per week, he is being paid a wage and has left full time education. What are the CSA rules about continued payments, surely payments must stop????? i beleive that the CSA do and say what they want and act unlawfully toward us fathers who have paid regular payments!!!1

My ex is lying to reduce his payments

July 9, 2015

My ex partner split up 15 years ago we had a 9 month old, I soon met my now husband shortly after the split, we have been together 15 yrs and my husband has bought my daughter up as his own since she was 9 months old she’ll be 16 in December this year. Her real father never wanted to know her he liked to drink more then spend time with his child. I gave him every opportunity to have contact with her but all he would say is when shes old enough if she wants to find me she will.

Last year my estranged elder daughter told my daughter all about her biological father behind my back, he turned up out of the blue at my house and said he wanted contact with my daughter i told him that he would have to start paying maintenance and that i would be contacting the CSA, he said whatever and left.He was told he had to pay 240 pm and it was taken direct from his employer.a few weeks ago the CSA rang me to say he has sent in proof that my daughter has been staying with him 3 days a week since May till now, so my daughters money has been cut in half.

My daughter cannot stand him and I know damn well that she has been here all the time.I wanted to appeal against this decision the CSA say that I have to send them proof that she has been staying with me all that time. Angry I said to them how do you send in proof that your daughter has been staying here and not at his house, my daughter is a typical teenager goes to school comes homes goes out comes home at a set time then goes to bed.My elder daughter has moved in with him a few moths ago and I think she is signing a statement lying about her sister staying there. What can I do to prove hes a liar and is just getting out of paying what is rightfully hers. I would be willing to swear under oath that she never stays there.

Is there a time frame for arrears to be written off?

July 9, 2015

CSA they are a joke!

well after 12 years they , apply attachment of earnings and claim £500 out of my husbands salary with no notification.

Then they proceed to give me two payment reschedules and two outstanding balances. Forgive me if I don’t trust their calculations.

All this after one child has lived with us for 11 of those years for whom we received no CSA as the mother / absent parent was either in prison or to lazy to work.

Rant over ! reason for being on site is to ask does any one know if there is a time frame within which arrears are written off?

Will ex cheat the system if I get CSA involved?

July 8, 2015

My dilemma….I have 2 boys aged 4 and 5…myself and their father separated 2 years ago and we had an agreement that he paid £400 per month, recently he pays what he wants when he wants so have decided that I need to make things more offical and contact the CSA. My problem is that he is a self employed driving instructor and I know that he will no where near be declaring the correct amount of earnings He used to earn £800 per week 2 years ago and has since put his prices up and is able to work more hours, so I know he now earns a lot more. What should I do as if they go by his last tax return I will prob get hardly anything as he cheats the system.

Can CSA take payments before issuing paperwork?

July 6, 2015

me and my partner split up about two years ago and the csa got involved and made a assessment which i paid. then they said a previous partner has made a claim against you sic years ago so you will have to pay that as well and we are backdating it 6 years to the tune of £22000 can they do this i have no paper work from the csa about previous partner now they are taking so much money out of my wages that i cant pay my bills and i have two kids that live with me i am a single parent don’t the csa have to serve you with papers or make a assessment or can they just wait six years and then do it like they have now.
