Can I pay CSA directly to my daughter?

July 12, 2014

My 16 year old daughter (soon to be 17) has asked if I can pay my CSA payments direct to her as her mum only gives her £3 per week pocket money! Can I do this? I have had years of arguing with the CSA over reducing my payments as they were wrongly calculated due to ex’s lies. I want to pay for her driving lessons but I do not want to get caught having to pay twice. I have read direct payments can be made but it still states to the PWC’s bank account. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If only she did! I pay for clothes and shoes. She also spends 4 nights a week at her boyfriends house to get away from her mum’s partner. Her boyfriends family spend a lot on her to help her as they think it’s disgusting how her mum treats her

If the PWC has a case open then the child maintenance is due to them.
In Scotland a QC can open their own case after the age of 14.
This is not applicable in the rest of the UK.
After the age of 16 child maintenance is due as long as the QC is in full time non-advanced education, up to the age of 20.
